I was in a long and tedious meeting today, so I doodled this in my notebook. (It helps me listen better and not play with my phone.)
For about two months now I’ve been drawing a Batman every day. It’s usually the last thing I do before I go to bed. It helps me wind down and leave the day behind.
This is first one I am posting to this site, but I’ll go back and back-date the others to as close to their drawing-date as I can figure out. (Which will make this post make almost no sense at some point in the future.)
This one was drawn on my OG iPad Mini with an old version of the AutoDesk Sketchbook app and an Adonit Mark stylus, while I was on an airplane traveling home from the HOW Design conference.
I decided that for every day that I miss a Batman, I have to make a Joker. After a couple of half-hearted attempts, this was the first one I took…serious.
This was the day I got my Body Kun drawing mannequin. I was much happier with my shadows and my posing.
I drew this one on my phone, using the AutoDesk Sketchbook app and an Adonit Mark stylus (which is the best stylus you can get for $10, for sure). I was pretty happy with how it came out.
I missed a day, so I had to draw The Joker. This was the day I made that rule, because I’d missed a day while I was traveling.
Drawn with an Adonit Mark stylus, on my iPhone, in the AutoDesk Sketchbook app.
Drawn with my finger, on my phone, with the Autodesk Sketchbook app.
